Case Study - Bullock Construction / Nottingham City Homes
Client: Bullock Construction 2007/08
Project: Repointing to existing Nottingham Housing stock to meet Decent Homes Standard as part of the wider Decent Homes renovations work.
Brief: Rake to a 20mm Minimum. Repoint with a 1:1:6 mortar mix. Weatherstruck finish
Result:
It was very important that the quality of work was of a high standard and to keep the Client informed of start and finish times on individual properties. In addition it was important to be sympathetic to the Tenants needs.
We recognise on the projects there are three people who audit the work - the main Contractor, the Clerk of Works from the Client and ultimately the Tenant who resides in the property.
"Gunpoint had been contracted to re-point properties in the Edwards Lane area of Nottingham starting in September 2007 through to present date. In the period of time that I have employed the services of Gunpoint I have found them to be a highly professional organisation. After first meeting Steven Holt he instilled the confidence in me that the service would be good, actually it was excellent, his team carried out the work very professionally and to a very high standard.
"I was informed daily on progress, and any outstanding issues that we raised were always resolved the same day. I was also very impressed in the way scaffolds came down as soon as Steven and the N.C.H. technical manager had inspected the work, this automatically negated any security problems that may have arisen for the tenants.
"Gunpoint were also instrumental in contributing towards Bullock Construction winning the 2008 National award for Considerate Construction, I would like to extend my special thanks to Steven Holt for his support in this area."
